About

Carole Ginnetty and Rosemarie Walsh are two Long Island, New York High School Guidance Counselors with forty years experience between the two of them. Carole Ginnetty has an MS degree from St. John’s University in Counselor Education and Rosemarie Walsh has an MS and Professional Diploma degree from Fordham University in Counselor Education. They are currently working as guidance counselors at St. Anthony’s High School, South Huntington, NY.

Their present guidance experience affords them the opportunity to work in daily scheduled guidance groups in addition to providing individual counseling. Everyday they experience their students’ stress in dealing with the college application process. This was the impetus of publishing the manual-organizer, C.A.P.ORGANIZER®, since organization is the first step to a successful college application.

This website was launched with all high school students and their parents in mind. The intention was to have a clear, concise, and easy to understand website that presents data in the same fashion that students receive in their high school.

Our Goal
C.A.P. aims to assist high school students and their famillies by providing a clearing house of information and resources as well as helpful guidelines to make one’s college an easier and fruitful experience.
Our Philosophy
Our belief, born out of years of counseling college-bound students, is that applicants need to gather and reflect upon a wide range of information in order to find the college that is the best fit for them.
Our Approach
The C.A.P. system challenges students to ask what they truly want, and what will trul work for them rather than being overly influended by arbitrary national ranking systems, or the latest short list of the most sought-after schools.
Our Vision
The diversity of information provided here is meant to address the full spectrum of student wants and needs. It allows students to become deeply involved in a process of wide exploration which is just as important as the end result of finding the right school.
